EkoLum uses the advanced technological communications solution PowerLine from LonWorks®, an ISO/IEC 14908 standard, which provides some essential advantages in order to face the future without restrictions nor limitations:

» Includes a redundancy system that guarantees a robust communication.
» Increases the reliability with a data retransmission mechanism.

» Technological solution which is manufacturer independent.
» Standard variables provide a minimum learning time.
» Can be integrated together with 3rd party products.

When setting up the installation, the system continuously supervises the luminaries, providing one of the following possible states:

» No alarms: The luminarie operates properly.
» Lamp fault: The lamp should be replaced.
» Lamp flashing: The lamp is reaching its lifetime.
» Capacitor failure: The capacitor should be replaced.

Any alarm detected in a luminarie will be automatically sent to the control center, indicating which lamp is failing and generating the corresponding maintenance report.
